Card for Miss M

After getting my creative flow going, I made a card for Miss M, 15 today!! I loved making this for her, very girly for once. The paper has a little embossing and sparkle to it, really cute and so glad she liked it.

This is the inside, more girly with silver embossing. Hope you have a fantastic day.

Catch Up

As I mentioned in my first post, I have recently started joining in the ATC swaps with Scrapbook Dreams. This was my first swap (August 2009), the theme was Playing Cards. Really enjoyed this one as I've been lacking inspiration for a while and wanted to get back into being creative. My ATC is the top left, great work from everyone.

This was my second ATC swap, September 2009, the theme for the swap was Humour. It took me a while to come up with my design, but once I got going it was great. Another swap that I'm so pleased with, great work again from everyone.

Looking forward to posting some more photos for other projects, unfortunately I have to wait!!

New to This

Hi, I'm a bit new to blogging, but thought it would be a great idea to try and keep family and scrapping friends up to date with what's happening with us. I'm going to start with a few projects I've completed lately.

First off, I re-organised my scrapping area and am really pleased with it. I bought a few new storage drawers and a cheap bookcase. The bookcase was hung off the wall so provided heaps of storage and with the drawers underneath everything is now at my finger tips!!

The lovely boxes at the bottom of my bookcase were another cheap buy from our local bargain shop, $3 each, couldn't believe it, just perfect for all my ribbon (I'm an addict to ribbon!!).

Then came my cupboard to get a revamp, I've sorted things so much better and now have separate sections for my papers, rub-ons, alphabets and cardstock. I've also sorted out my scraps so when the kids are crafting they have some lovely papers to use (hopefully no more trying to get my good papers!!).

Well after all that sorting out, came some inspiration. First was to make some Christmas Cards for a swap with Scrapbook Dreams, photo to come later as the swap hasn't finished yet. Next I made an ATC album using chipboard to keep my newly started ATC collection. I've only completed two ATC swaps at the moment, but really wanted somewhere to put them.

Another project I had been thinking about doing for a while now was to make something for my son's teachers for the end of the year (I know it's early). Usually I'm running around in December trying to find something that says THANKS for everything during the year, but doesn't break the bank and is also personal. So I've altered these tins, the teachers will be getting coffee sachets (the type that stand up) and chocolates, like flakes etc that stand up too. After all the goodies are gone they could use them for a pencil/pen holder on their desks.

Hopefully my first post hasn't been too long and I'll put some photos up soon of other projects I've got on the go.
